点评:The Valley Of The Gods is a pristine area seen by few, which is probably why it is so beautiful and undisturbed. The seventeen-mile road through the valley is at best rough, at worst, very difficult and bone shaking. Driving a ¾ ton truck, you are forced to travel slowly or in need of a Chiropractor, soon. As seasoned RV travelers, we pulled in with a 28-foot fifth wheel, very slowly. The BLM requires BoonDockers to stay within existing camp sites. It was difficult to find a site away from the main road large enough for our rig. We did so and spent three wonderful days exploring, hiking and photographing an undisturbed piece of southwestern nature. In addition to the solitude and total quietness, we discovered the entire seventeen-mile trek was free of debris, such a welcomed difference from driving through the Navajo Indian Reservation. Excellent Verizon phone coverage and of course, no water, bring sufficient as the nearest source is in Mexican Hat, an hour drive. The little convenience market/gas station in Mexican Hat has friendly staff and a great supply of essentials. As others have said, do not attempt to travel when the road is wet, you will require a tow truck to be rescued.
