点评：This is a great spot for both experienced hikers and families with kids. We went in December midday and the weather was perfect (high 60s, sunny partly cloudy). There are people making frequent stops for pictures, so definitely recommend this during the winter as it is probably a lot more crowded during the spring busy season. You can do a loop which includes a very steep hill halfway through or turn around once the canyon starts to widen. We did the loop to get exercise but were rewarded with great views of the canyon on top of that steep hill.
The drive is about 20 minutes from borrego springs but the road off of the 78 is very easy to miss. I missed it even though I was tracking my position on google maps. I made it to the parking lot with an AWD sedan and saw many 2WD cars in the parking lot. Conditions might be different after rain. Also just letting you know there's no running water in the restrooms.
