Woodlands Nature Station的点评
点评：I went to the “Woodland Nature Center” with my son’s school for their 4th Grade field trip. I feel like before i review the place that I should explain about it. This place is a Rescue! Non of the animals here can actually survive in the wild! Many have half a wing from being shot or ran over! Each animal has their own story! If they did not take care of them and allowed them to just go into the wild…..It would be a death sentence for these animals! Now we had guides and they told us what happen to each of the animals, why they are there and not re-introduced into the wild. How amazing each of the animals are! My 9 year old loved it and to be completely honest so did I, a lot of the animals were right in front of us and some of them we did not get close to out of respect to the animal because a lot of people yea i’d freak out too lol. They have some outside and some inside. They don’t live where you see them! They all have their own buildings and places where they can run or fly etc…..If the animal is having an off day they leave them alone and don’t even bring them out! These people have tons of respect for the animals way more than most zoos! They also had an art/writing activities for the kids! They closed their eyes and wrote down 5 sounds that they could hear. They drew a bison skull while learning about it. Then the guide got a screech owl and had the kids draw and label the different parts of the screech owl! It was a great time! Oh and they do have a pavilion for lunch! Also, a gift store that you can buy a range of different products! The best part of this place….kids 15 and under are FREE! Adults are $7! It was def worth it! I’d recommend seeing this place for yourself! Thank you woodland nature center for the amazing experience!
