点评：Maverix Snowboard Camps, Powder Hunters & Splitboard Camp.
What a way to kick off your Season!
This was 13 days of Riding and Splitting with 2 different Crews and of course James AKA J.
Just so we don't get this twisted, here is a Lil Back Story
I have been snowboarding for a long time now and have been to many Camps Worldwide, I am however by no means a Pro Snowboarder who has nothing to learn.
Every day in the Mountains for me is a school day. I have however been fortunate to have Riden with the most highly qualified Guides and coaches, so I reckon I have a good all-around knowledge of what is a good and bad experience.
Maverix is in my opinion one of the best I have had for various reasons.
The Guiding and coaching.
Coaching
It is 2nd to none. James can coach any discipline of Riding from Park to Pow and everything in between.
Guiding
J is known as the Pizza Man of Pow as he always delivers. This zone is his backyard which he walks in the summer and rides in Winter.
If there is good snow to be found he will find it.
There are also so many hidden extras in these Adventures
These Trips are the ONLY ones i have ever been on where you get the opportunity to do
Night Hikes
and
Backcountry builds, like to see in the movies.
The Area and Accommodation.
Where you will be staying is where J has chosen and kept returning for the last 15 years.
This creates a family vibe that has grown organically. This radiates and dissipates to every crew member helping bond the team
The Mountains speak for themself as you will discover with everything and more than you can handle and someone with the power to take you to secure safe and secret stashes due to his inherent knowledge of the mountains and valleys.
The Communication
The communication before, during, and after the Camp.
No one is left in any doubts about the plans for riding any questions are answered and any problems are turned to solutions.
Each Backcountry Mission is explained and depending on your interest and thirst for more mountain knowledge depends on how deep you go.
Meals and night Entertainment.
Each night after Riding plans are made to eat in a variety of restaurants.
Travel arrangements are made and posted on the WhatsApp group it is optional but most of the crew do go and it again is a good bonding session and discussion about the day highlights and tomorrow's challenges.
Media Photos videos and Drone footage.
J is an excellent photographer and highly skilled with his phone or a Drone at capturing the Crew as they Ride Slide and Surf the Mountains.
The experience that you have in the Mountains will live with you forever.
This for me is a rare opportunity to immerse yourself in what can be a full Snowboarding Mountain Mission.
The Backcountry is not for every Rider it is a Full-on experience that requires commitment.
It is suited to Riders who like an adventure and are prepared to buy into pushing the limits always staying safe and looking after themselves and the Crew they are with.
It is not blasting the pistes and then having a big lunch and a few beers followed by a Big apres ski session.
