Holsworthy Golf Club的点评
点评：I booked on the spur-of-the-moment to play golf at Holsworthy Golf Club when the majority of golf courses on the south Devon coast were closed due to the awful wet weather we had endured. Holsworthy was open with some temporary greens, and teeing off mats. Booked over the phone and then headed up to Holsworthy. Pro shop very friendly... my only issue was my new phone wasn't set up with my county card correctly but once I logged in to the golf club's wifi I was able to set that up quickly and show my county card which they accepted and therefore I paid a county card rate.
There are practice facilities at the golf course including a couple of practice nets, and a chipping/short iron area. I think there was a practice putting green too though I didn't use that.
The course itself is generally easy going on foot and mostly flat (with I think 3 holes traversing a steep brook). Some holes are challenging, with a blind tee off on the 17th hole (if you want to cut the corner), and a couple of holes along a couple of main roads. The holes are very well signposted which I recommend you study (there's also a map on the scorecard)... it did take me a split second to figure out that 3rd and 5th, along with 13th & 18th holes share tee boxes... so make sure you tee off from the correct point!!
I'd like to return and play again when the weather improves, as this is a lovely golf course and I was made very welcome.
