Major disappointment

点评：Although I'd booked a table for Sunday lunch, we were given a high table with bar stools - not ideal.
I was 'ignored' at the bar and had to say, 'Excuse me, I have reservation'.
We had to ask for a menu, no one brought one.
We both opted for the beef - very tough, but everything else was nice.
We didn't have any cutlery on the table, a basic requisite.
The salt and pepper were empty, asked for another, that was empty too.
Asked for a glass of chardonnay- none available.
The pint of Theakstons was poor, left three quarters of it - admittedly we could have returned it to the bar, but we were so underwhelmed that we just wanted to pay and leave.
A lady working there was the saving grace, the two men we had interaction with were poor, one plain ignorant, the other pleasant but clueless.
After reading good reviews, what a disappointment- as I said earlier, the food, apart from the meat, was nice, everything else was a major disappointment.
