点评:Opening Night! Bon Ton Prime Rib has opened. It occupies the space of a beloved restaurant that was our go on our visits to New Orleans. We go lucky and saw the restaurant was completing details and we made reservations and well it was opening night. The restaurant has been dramatically remodeled. The look is very lush. The menu has been revamped from a Cajun restaurant to a prime rib / steak house with some excellent gulf coast dishes.
We got there a little early and had cocktails at the bar. The service and drinks were fine.
Exactly at our reservation time, we were retrieved and shown to our table. For the 4 of us we order Onion Rings to start, split a couple of Caesar Salads, then split a Filet Mignon, Prime Rib and Crab Cakes with a side of Brussels Sprouts. Every thing was cooked properly and served well. My only comment is that it was a bit heavy on the salt. Full disclosure, over the years I have gotten away from salting anything so I am a bit sensitive to it. When asked, we did tell the attentive wait staff and management. Just some constructive criticism from me. I am certain others would find the food salted perfectly.
And desert was terrific. A picture accompanies.
All in all a wonderful meal and we all agreed we would be back soon.
Finally, I have given this a 4 star review simply because of my preference for less salt in my food. Again, the quality and attention to quality was spot on.
