Gila Hot Springs Campground的点评
点评：Gila Hot Springs RV Park is only RV Park near Gila Cliff Dwellings. The drive up Highway 15 was scenic, snowy and mountainous.
The sign board at the entrance to the park says no camp host and they mean it. There isn’t anyone there to answer questions or provide information about the facility or the local area. The property seems to be a horse and goat ranch. The horses are beautiful but roam freely especially in the afternoon. There are plenty of manure piles in the RV area. The piles were scooped up but there is plenty left on the gravel surface. It was difficult to avoid tracking this into our vehicle. Watch your step especially in low light.
The sign board instructs you to select a spot where you can connect to electricity and water then sometime between 4 to 5pm someone will come around to collect your fees. A person came knocking on our RV door well after 5pm. We paid our fee and received Wi-Fi information. The Wi-Fi was spotty but was appreciated as it was the only communication in the area. We had no cell service, AM/FM or weather band reception. Also there is no dump station.
There were 3 permanent looking RV’s on the property. They didn’t help the look of the place and seem suspect.
The bathrooms were clean, heated and have heated floors. The hot water is only lukewarm.
Gila Cliff Dwellings was a nice hike and had friendly informative staff. Overall we enjoyed the Cliff Dwellings but could pass on Gila Hot Springs RV Park.
