I had the prix fixed montreal short rib, we shared appetizers of potato latkas, the extra beet cured salmon, and chicken liver mouse, and my son had the romanian skirt steak entree. For desserts we had buckwheat custard and pots de cream. While pricy, my montreal meat was extremely tender and very tasty. The rolls and their toppings were wonderful, including boursin, pickled beets, eggplant, cucumbers and one other thing. The appetizers: a very different take on potatoes latka's, but delicious. They looked like "french-toast" sticks, but were crispy outside and soft potato inside, with an applesauce on the side. The beet cured salmon was amazing. My son liked the chicken liver mouse, but I wouldn't say this was the star of the night. He really liked his romanian skirt steak. I found the pots de cream a bit heavy; he liked his buckwheat custard, but by then, we were pretty full. A special night, and a place to return to.
