点评：This was my second time in 6 years that I’ve tried this place. Living in San Diego I am accustomed to all kinds of Mexican cuisine - fast food chains, mom and pop shacks, street food and high end fine dining. Trust me - this is the worst place in Winchester for Mexican food. The first time I came, I had the flank steak entree. It was bland and tasteless. This time - I figured “oh why not”. Surely with the other fantastic places I’ve tried around town - this must have upped their game to compete.
I was sorely wrong and disappointed. My husband and I ordered their taco salad - his was beef, mine was chicken. The most bland, uninspired and extremely underwhelming salad was as tasteless and colorless as it gets. I had to ask for hot salsa as it didn’t come with it. That didn’t help. Nothing remotely Mexican about this other than a bland, deep fried taco shell. Truly the most flavorful part was the blob of sour cream on top of the salad. My chicken was cooked properly but again had absolutely zero flavor. No salt or pepper - I half thought it was boiled chicken. In plain water.
There other places in and around town that are excellent and much worth the money. This is simply a Mexican restaurant by name only - the taco salad was an American’s poor attempt to sling something ethnic and fell far short of imagination and flavor. Too bad I can’t rate this a zero,
