点评：On our holiday trip to Houston in late December, this James Coney Island on Gulf Freeway near NASA came in for an encore performance, after first eating at the one in Humble, TX one day earlier. My grandparents used to live in Houston back in the 1970s, 80s and 90s. I have many nostalgic memories of going to visit them back then. One of my favorite memories was going to James Coney Island to eat when visiting them in Houston. The one we used to frequent in the 1970s and 80s, on Fondren Road in Sharpstown, is long gone (now Jones Fried Chicken). This location on the Gulf Freeway is a newer one, opening circa 2010. My wife and I ate here for lunch after visiting NASA. Excellent food, just as was the other one in Humble where we ate at the day before. This time around I got a footlong chili cheese coney, tater tots and a drink. A very tasty and enjoyable lunch. It was quite busy during the lunch hour. I see that several James Coney Island locations have closed over the last couple of years. I'm not sure why they are struggling because this place is still leaps and bounds better than most other fast food establishments or restaurants in which one could choose to spend their hard earned money at. If I lived in the Houston area, I'd probably find myself here at least once a week! Prices are still reasonable as well. Our lunch here was just under $20 for the both of us. We'll surely find ourselves back here at either this location or another the next time we are in the Houston area.
