Saint Paul's uniting Church的点评
点评：The foundation stone was laid on 15th February, 1865 by Mrs. Dugald McPherson - the church opened on the 22nd July, 1866. Historically three wives of grazing pioneers for the area donated three of the windows inside the church- Mrs. Dugald Mc Pherson ( no surprise there- she laid the stone :) ), Mrs John Edols and Mrs Peter Inglis.
The church is part of the local heritage walk. It has street parking available. The Presbyterian Church was mentioned in the article as one of many Victorian Churches that had received stained glass windows by Ferguson & Urie. Who were they? They were Colonial Victoria’s famous stained glass company, “Ferguson & Urie” left its artistic mark in Australian history between 1853-1899.
The church is quite attractive and it is still used according to the sign at the front which indicated in recent times they had carols here for Christmas. There is an unused building at the rear that I believe would have housed the church minister at one time.
