Very interesting Historical Society. Lots of information on the movie Groundhogs Day and local history as well.
Punxsutawney Area Historical & Genealogical Society的点评
点评：The Punxsutawney Historical & Genealogical Society is a very nice little museum that is very underrated. I visited it the last time I was in Punxsutawney and it has a lot of information on local history, the founding of the town, lots of fascinating artifacts and a great display on the movie "Groundhogs Day", that was not shot here.
Still the museum is spread through the Lattimer House and the Bennis House across the street. The Bennis House has many artifacts from the Victorian age along with a interesting display of dollhouses, furniture and pictures of the families that lived here. In the Lattimer House was their Christmas Tree display still up for Groundhogs Day and a display of Native American arts and the Coal Mining industry that was a big part of the community. There's also art from local artists and information on the town's history. It should not be missed when visiting the town.
