Not a Good Way to Operate a Hotel

点评：Overall, this hotel seemed a tad worn, and the staff didn't seem to have majored in hospitality. We had stayed there 4 years ago, and the place looked like maintenance had not kept up.
1) Air Conditioner made screeching noise, making it difficult to sleep – because of worn fan bearing. I asked the staff person on duty if this issue could be fixed before our second evening at the hotel. Since I never received any notice if anything had been done, I checked with my staff contact. She told me that after examining the unit, Maintenance told her the entire unit would have to be replaced, which could not be completed until the following day. (Two Issues: Why didn't Housekeeping let Maintenance know there was an ongoing problem that needed addressing, and why didn't my staff contact inform me about the status of my request? This isn't the way to run a hotel!)
2) Housekeeping was lacking – old flat pillows, with old ill-fitting pillow cases. They complained to us that they had been waiting for new stuff to arrive for months.
