An AMAZING trip of a lifetime with Mashirima Tours!

点评：Amazing experience in Tanzania with Mashirima Tours!! Brian (owner of Mashirima Tours) proved to be very reliable, hospitable, knowledgeable, and honest host/guide. Before we flew to Africa, we had to secure our tour by wiring money to Brian. It was a little unnerving to send a large amount of money to an unknown person, but Brian responded and communicated at every turn of the planning and booking process. Therefore, we had the assurance this was a legitimate company. Our tour began with Brian picking us up at the airport in the evening with our driver, Tom, in an 8 passenger safari Land cruiser. Very comfortable and spacious for our group of 6. We had a 5 day Safari tour, then an added a Kilimanjaro day hike plus local hot spring day before our evening flight out. The first evening was travel time of hours to a hotel with a full dinner meal provided near the Ngorogoro Crater. The next morning was a full day at the Crater that did not disappoint. The scenery was breathtaking, and we saw several animal species with the highlight of many rhinoceros. The end of the day we drove hours to reach the middle of the Serengeti for an overnight in what I would rate a 5 star tent hotel accommodation. We had very private, spacious tents with plumbed toilet and shower, desk, chairs, and a cozy four-poster bed. The staff was very accommodating and the meals were hearty and delicious. I wish we could have stayed in this accommodation a second night if our Serengeti tour was longer. Well worth it. The Serengeti was vast and breathtaking in it’s golden beauty. Tom was an experienced and personable driver that knew how to find about every animal there is to see! We saw the Big 5 plus 3 cheetahs! Also, migration of wildebeest and zebras crossing right in front of us with the herds as far as the eye could see. Tom always maneuvered the SUV to be up close to the animals for great viewing and photos. We booked with a different guide outside of this tour company for our Kilimanjaro hike, and thought we would be ending our time with Brian, but he was able to work with the other guide in order to drive us to our last 2 days of locations and arrange more accommodations. This was unexpected and proved the impeccable and trust-worthy service Brian provided. He also arranged all of the Covid testing before our departing flights. The tour ended with being driven to the airport and saying our goodbyes. This tour was far beyond our expectations. You will have an adventure of a lifetime with Mashirima Tours!
