点评:Overall we had a great stay and we would recommend this hotel.
Pros: 10/10 awesome staff. From the start the front desk attendants were great when I called with a question and when we checked in. We had a problem with the room (see cons) and they attempted to assist us. The cleaning attendant even chased us down to the lobby to give my son the stuffy he forgot in the bed! Rooms were clean, the a/c fan was quiet and there was minimal sound from the hallway. Breakfast wasn’t special but we enjoyed the eggs and bacon. Shuttle driver was friendly.
Cons: The curtain in our room (318) didn’t drown out all the light from outside. Because the a/c unit is under the window the curtain isn’t long enough. But the real kicker was the crazy smell of the room. It spelled like someone cooked a meal - but not a meal my family would enjoy. It was very strong. We thought it was the microwave but now wonder if food was stuffed into the a/c unit. There was no housekeeping staff to help us. We left the door open in our room for 2 hours to try to clear the smell but couldn’t. There was no smell in the hallway. The front desk couldn’t move us to another room as all the 2 queen beds were in use and our family was too big for a king room. We rented a second room for my mom right next door and her room had no smell. I will be calling to speak with the manager on the next business day. There is no way housekeeping didn’t smell it when they cleaned the room before our stay.
The hotel has a shuttle but it’s not well advertised. I just happened to see it in small print after booking our room. When I called to book it I wasn’t advised there is a $20 round trip charge for it. The one door of the van didn’t open.
Overall, we would recommend this hotel and would stay again if flying out of Syracuse.
