点评：Visited Beacon on a Fall Saturday. After a walk on Main Street we were feeling a bit hungry, as we walked by AMA and saw they had outdoor seating available we decided to go for it, as we had our little dog with us.
We got lucky because we were the last couple to be seated, people after us were rejected as they were closing lunch service. The server was very helpful and friendly, as soon as we sat she went to get water for us and the dog. The bowl she had brought had a leak on it but luckily we had brought our own.
The place is ok and clean but nothing spectacular. As i said before, we opted to sit outside and watch the people walking by. It's a very touristy town so Main Street is quite crowded.
The menu doesn't offer much variety but we weren't there to be blown out of our minds by their creative food. We just wanted to eat!
There was only one server for the whole place but luckily there were only 2 tables occupied apart from ours so we didn't have any issues. Not sure if that's the same case when the place is crowded.
We ordered a beef carpaccio as a starter and a couple of personal pizzas to try.
The carpaccio was very good, they had added pomegranate and the acidity of it gave it a nice touch.
The pizzas were just ok. We got a Margherita (they add olives to it!) and a Scamorza (mushrooms and sun dried tomatoes). If you ask me the sauce was a bit weak and plain. They got very stingy with the toppings. The Margherita included olives but it had only 3 or 4 on it!!! Same case with the mushrooms and tomatoes on the Scamorza. But again, we knew this place wasn't Razza, Lucalli or Roberta's!
It did the trick. We ate and got our energy recharged to keep walking. And the dog caught a much needed break to relax in the shade.
If we go back to Beacon we would probably go somewhere else just to try something different but if you just want to grab a bite and people-watch while you eat, AMA is a good option.
