点评：The Quarry used to be an oasis of calm, but since being purchased by a nonprofit, it has turned into a glorified day camp for unruly kids. There's not a minute in the day that you can enjoy the once peaceful surroundings of this natural setting.
Multiple-day and season passes used to be the only option for swimming here. Now that day passes are sold, the place is completely overrun by mobs of obnoxious teenagers. Parents are more than happy to spend $25 to drop their kid off for the day. During the week, actual day camps have the place until 3 p.m., so you don't want to go then. And don't even think about coming on a weekend or holiday! It's a madhouse.
I no longer see families with young children here. The pool is empty most of the time. It's too expensive for families. The snack bar is closed, so there's no affordable food. They sell tiny blobs of gourmet ice cream for $6 and ice sticks for $3. Food trucks sell overpriced, mediocre food on the weekends. Families have to pack their own food and drinks if they want to spend the day, and it's too much trouble. The bathrooms also are closed. A port-a-potty truck is onsite, but the cubicles are too small to allow a parent to help a young child.
The nonprofit now owns this place in perpetuity, so this is what to expect going forward. It's a shame. When it was family-owned, this place was a gem. It's a waste of money now to buy a season pass – the camps and day-trippers have priority over those who have spent the most money. If you must, buy a day pass and decide for yourself.
