Modern American comfort food. My husband always says a sign of a good restaurant is that it has a pepper grinder on the table rather than a shaker. Table 34 not only has a pepper grinder on each table, they up the ante with salt grinders.
Staff
Every member of the waitstaff was friendly. The bussers were exceptionally on-point. They always kept my water glass from getting below half full. After customers left, they swiftly, efficiently, and quietly changed over tables.
There were several regular customers, which is always a good sign. My only critique is that the manager walked around to the regulars' tables and chatted with them. That in and of itself is fine, but it was to the exclusion of the other customers. A quick "How is everything?" or "Can we get you anything else?" would have been a better look. Every customer is a potential regular customer.
Food
The spicy cucumber margarita was aptly named with a bit of a kick and a rich cucumber flavor. It seemed thicker than most margaritas, possibly because of the agave.
My husband ordered iced tea. He said it was one of the best iced teas he's ever had. It wasn't over-brewed, not too light, and not bitter.
The bread service was delicate with a flaky crust and spreadable butter.
The white fish chowder was thick, creamy, and chunky. It was one of the best chowders I've had.
The wedge salad was refreshing and had an excellent ratio of ingredients. The bleu cheese dressing was a bit tangy.
The blackened red snapper was perfectly cooked. My experience with blackened fish is that it tends to get dry, but that is not the case here. It had that blackened exterior char and remained flaky and moist.
The Anchor Steam Pork Chop chop was moist and properly cooked. It was served with broccolini, which I feel, is a much better way to go than broccoli.
Both dishes' vegetables were not overcooked and had great flavor.
For dessert, we had the bread pudding. It wasn't a traditional bread pudding, but more of a cake with ice cream and whipped cream. It was delicious.
Overall, the portion sizes were quite generous. I probably shouldn't say this, but they could decrease the portion sizes and I'd still be happy.

The staff and food are fantastic. I recommend Table 34 to anyone wanting an elevated Henderson dining experience.
