点评：Continuing on our summer adventures, Fat Man Reviews stopped into St. Pete Beach, Florida for some sun and relaxation. The first stop was to My Happy Place Deli. Happy place is a small outdoor seating place serving sandwiches and cold drinks.
My fiancé decided on the Swiss Hammer. This sandwich comes with hot ham and Swiss cheese with honey mustard on a croissant. The croissant has a nice toast on it and is flaky. The ham is slightly sweet, most likely honey ham, and there is a good amount of it. The Swiss is melted well and added a nutty flavor and gooeyness. The honey mustard adds a nice sweetness to cut through the salt in the cheese and the ham. The sandwich came with a bag of chips, or you can upgrade to potato salad.
I chose the Hot Pastrami & Swiss Melt Down with potato salad. This comes with hot pastrami, Swiss cheese with Dijon mustard on Marbled Rye off of a panini press. There was a excellent toast on the rye. Again there was a nice amount of pastrami on the sandwich. The Swiss is melted well again and the nutty flavor and gooey texture cuts through the mustard. The Dijon cuts through the meat and adds some needed moisture as the sandwich, as it is a little dry. The Potato salad is absolutely wonderful. It is mustard based, slightly sweet and homemade from their sister restaurant, Sweet Sage Café and Boutique.
Happy Place offers several island alcoholic drink favorites, beer, wine, coke products and several hot beverages. The offer a limited sunrise breakfast, salads and hot and cold sandwiches. They have several bread options, such as Sourdough, Marbled Rye, Wheat, Croissant, English Muffin, Gluten Free. The Fat Man says that My Happy Place Deli is Fat Man Approved with 1 chin.
