点评:We booked a 4 hour adventure trip for 10 people on July 22nd and it was rained out. Within 15 minutes of being at the inflatable adventure park, we were advised to get on the boat due to an approaching thunderstorm that should pass over quickly. However, 15 minutes into the storm, which involved a dense gray curtain of rain, thunder and lightening, the captain informed us that the storm was just building behind itself and wasn’t going to go away soon. We were advised by the captain to return back to the dock and that we would get our money back. So we did. We were back at the dock and in the store purchasing merchandise as a souvenir for the trip by 10:45. We hung out at the restaurant bar for a little while and then left. All of this to say—we paid just shy of $1154.73 for this trip. This included gratuity since we were a 10 person group. We received $682.34 back. When trying to contact the company about the discrepancy between the two amounts, they first tried to say it was up to my credit card to refund the money. They said multiple times that our trip was only cut short 30 minutes, so they weren’t going to refund that remaining amount, but when explaining the timeline and how we weren’t even out there but for a short period of time, they balked and said they needed to contact management. And that’s okay…a disconnect in information somewhere that I assumed would be corrected. However, this is a repeated conversation that lasts over a week, with them saying they’ll contact me back, only to not do so unless I called/texted and prompted again. The final verdict after a call from management was that they were keeping the 40% that I didn’t get back, that I got back all I was going to get back, that I was the only one to call and complain about the amount that was refunded so they were pretty much brushing me off. Okay…cool…we got 25% of a trip, they got 40% of our trip money plus the amounts we paid directly to the captains as a tip for being kind/attentive during our 15 min adventure trip and 15 minute downpour and then the 10 min trip out and back.
Just know, the captains are great but if you have something pop up during your trip, you will not receive good customer service. Or your money back. Even though you were told otherwise.
