When most Americans think of "Mexican" restaurant dishes, they are really referring to so-called "Tex-Mex". Tex Mex includes hard-shell tacos with ground beef, cheese, lettuce and salsa. Enchiladas also with salsa and often with beef or chicken are also part of the menu. These are great dishes but are not in fact authentic Mexican.
Authentic Mexican tacos and enchiladas are very different. For tacos, the ingredients are soft tortillas (never crispy) and beef with mole sauce. No cheese, lettuce or salsa. Similar with traditional enchiladas which are typically white cheese with pork or chicken, not beef, also with mole sauce. Mole sauce is not for all tastes. For me it has a much darker taste which I don't care for.
If you've never had authentic Mexican, you might try it but be warned it may not be what you expect.
