点评:Looked forward to this restraint from friends. We sat down reading the menu and asked our server what was the corkage fee - two of us own vineyards and each brought a bottle from our vineyards in Manton. One other guest also brought a bottle. The server said she would ask the manager because it was between $10 to $20 for corkage! She came back a said it was $20. We said that’s a little steep. So I went and found the manager and asked if he could make an exception because nearly every restaurant in Redding charges $10. After a lengthy discussion he said he would only charge us $40 for two and 3rd would be free. I explained our party of 12 is going to spend $700 for dinner could you make an exception. No he couldn’t!
We placed our orders and we told our server your managers respond. She said they charge that so they can sell more of their wine and liquor! Mind you we all had a cocktail before dinner was served. I had Cajun fetuchine which was barely warm but said screw it and didn’t fuss. I was in customer service for 45 years and my objective was to always take care of the customer first. For a lousy $30 bucks you lost 12 customers who will never return also. We would never recommend your restraint to our friends and neighbors in the future. You might sit your young smart manager that rules can be changed because every situation is different!
I probably wasting my time telling you our experience. But remember learn from your mistakes because you’ll never live long enough to make them all yourself!
