点评：I would like to explain what happened on the trail ride of April 15, 2024. I am the guide that led that ride. First of all Brianna failed to mention that I first took out her mother and father on their own hour and a half trail ride. They loved it, took many photos and they told me all about Minneapolis. Upon returning to the ranch, I let the horses rehydrate, got the daughter, Brianna and her boyfriend Tanner mounted, adjusted their stirrups and off we went. They loved it as well, and just before the end of the trail, where we turn around we head down in the wash. This is where we heard the rattle of a snake. We never saw him, only heard him. Now we usually don’t see any snakes until June, so this was completely unexpected. I guess they are probably trying to soak up the warmth of the sun on all these rocks we have now from a huge storm we had about 5 months ago. It rained for three days straight, no it poured for three days straight. We had terrible flooding that has now exposed an enormous amount of rock in our wash so that is why the snakes are here early this year. Anyways, I was riding our newly rescued horse who is very young and not accustomed to our wildlife here at the high desert so he spooked. And because mine spooked, Brianna’s horse spooked as well. Well, we went sideways, we went up and we went around and around and just as I was trying to calm him down, my reins broke and I had no control of him so down I went. Brianna fell as well. And just as I hit the ground I let out a big scream and off they went. Mine got caught in barb wire and ripped his neck, Tanner was on the phone calling Georgia and anybody else that would listen. Well Georgia jumped in her truck and by the time she was heading down her driveway, the horses were running up the driveway. Now mine is a big white horse but by the time he got back to the ranch he was a bright red mess with blood pouring out of his neck. She didn’t slow down, she didn’t stop, she actually stepped on the gas she was so worried about us. She reached us in minutes , well we could see her on the other side of the wash but couldn’t get to us due to all the exposed rock. So she went to our neighbor and good friend who owns ATC and just like that there they were, getting us out of there. Now I understand that everyone beats to a different drum and everyone has their own point of view but I am fine, no broken bones, the horse is fine, he healed very quickly and we are back in the saddle again
