点评:We drove to Bodega Bay this past Saturday for the scenery and lunch from our home in Healdsburg. We had lunch at Gourmet Au Bay a couple of years before. I don't recall being as disappointed as I was for this visit which will be my last. I do not understand the above average rating this restaurant has received. The food was mediocre and the prices over the top.
We ordered two glasses of the Mengler Viognier which I do recommend. The $14 for a 5 ounce pour would have been seen as reasonable. I am sure that the pour was no more than 3 to 4 ounces and thus over priced.
I ordered a beet salad which was tasty but not great for $17. Both my wife and I ordered the Shrimp Louie Sandwich. It consisted of a rather tasteless roll cut into two parts with a small slit cut into the roll to make the very limited amount of shrimp in a rather bland sauce look like more than it really was. At $18 it would have been over priced but it was $28. A ridiculous price when considering the size and price.
