Wheatsheaf Inn的点评
点评：The Wheatsheaf offers no frills accommodation, which is budget friendly & clean. Parking is plentiful even when the pub is busy. Our first floor room was quite cramped & would be a challenge to larger visitors. With the sloping ceiling, you would have to be about 2.5' not to bang your head being out of bed on the window side. Tea & coffee making are provided. The room was clean & the bedding comfortable. However, the bathroom was a tight squeeze & it was difficult to enter without walking into the bath. On the plus side the towels were fluffy & large & a range of bath products are provided. A shower unit would be better space wise. Road noise was quite noticeable as the windows are single glazed & in autumn this led to a lot of condensation. The decor was rather tired in places. Noise was noticeable from the corridor & adjacent rooms, (Congratulations to the couple in the next room, waking us up several times throughout the night with their energetic nocturnal coupling!).
Cooked breakfast was plentiful & very tasty & there was a good selection of cereals & fruit for a lighter option. We had an evening meal which was tasty pub food.
The Wheatsheaf is conveniently situated for Hemel Hempstead. Also for visiting the many great gardens nearby, such as Borde Hill, Nymans, Wakehurst Place & Leonardslee.
