Hall & Woodhouse Visitor Centre的点评
点评：Very disappointed. I have eaten at a number of very good Hall and Woodhouse pubs and had excellent food and service. However met some friends at the Tap for lunch today and will not be going back to this one. I ordered what was described as roasted cauliflower salad topped with garlic yoghurt and pomegranate molasses. All dishes were served except mine and the waitress who brought the dishes out queried whether there was something missing so I sail a cauliflower salad so she went back to the kitchen. The young lad who had taken the order was sent to the table to apologise as it was his first day training and had not given the full order to the kitchen and told me that my food would not be too long as they were rushing the order through. My my plate if food came out there was a pile of cold boiled cauliflower with some pickled red onion slices, a small amount of yoghurt all drowned in some very claggy oil and pomegranate seeds. The oil was sloshing around the plate. I mentioned this to the third person who came to the table to check whether all was ok and I said that I was not happy and showed him the amount of oil running around the plate. He agreed that it did not look very appetising and should he take it back to the kitchen and bring out a fresh plate of food. I said "no" as my friends by now had already nearly finished their food given that my dish had come out late so he walked away. It is possibly the worst plate of food that has ever been served to me in a restaurant at the price of just under £15 and it was not as described on the menu as pomegranate molasses is not a ladle of cooking oil with pomegranate seeds. I did not make a fuss about paying as the bill was picked up by another member of the group and I did not want to embarrass them. However I had to pick up takeaway fish and chips on my way home as I had not eaten much of the food and had a bad taste of claggy oil in my mouth.
