Fantastic day birding around Bariloche

点评：We put a birding trip ask through the Patagonia Birding website somewhat last minute and Mariano was quick to respond with a trip plan, costs and proposed flexible start and end times.
We chose to start our day 7am and Mariano took us to varied ecosystems: forests, ponds/rivers and steps terrains. We had some beautiful weather and saw a total of 66 species of which 33 were lifers. All the places we border at were unique, quiet and special. Mariano’s energy, enthusiasm and passion for showing us all the birds made the day even more special.
Mariano is a master of his craft and an expert birder and photographer. We found in him an adept teacher and gave us lots of tips on both identifying birds by sound and sight as well as how to take better pictures. He knew where to find every bird and how to coax them to present themselves for great viewings.
The trip itself was well paced with lots of breaks so you are not sitting in a car for too long. Lunch was at a beautiful private place at the steps with chairs, a table and linen(!) making the whole experience feel luxurious.
Mariano is friendly, kind and all round wonderful person. We saw a different side of Bariloche which made our birding day trip all the more special.
