Pines Dinner Theatre的点评
点评：We saw the Holly Jolly Christmas show last night (11/16/2023) as a party of 6 adults, and it wasn't so Jolly.
First of all, purchased confirmed table seats adjacent to the stage. When we arrived at 6:30pm, the table was occupied by another "birthday" group and we were moved to a table, in the rear. While my group wasn't aware of this. I was steaming. Regarding dinner, the lobster bisque cups came some half filled and others came up to the top.
Eyes were rolling and I said, don't worry about this. The portions on the pulled pork ( main dish) were very small- like kids portions, and my chicken dinner was very dried out, sending most of it, back to the kitchen, uneaten. My wife ordered the brownie & ice-cream dessert with this being served at the table, with half melted ice-cream. Obviously, this was sitting in the kitchen for a while.
The play itself seemed like some actors didn't show up and they had to improvise a short story, at the last minute. To be fair, all 4 actors showed acting skills, but none could sing consistently, on key. This was a huge dissapointment. While Kent Brenwell (Rob) did a strong job in his acting, Amber Blatt (Laura) performed pretty well in her supporting role. Max Gorman also did well as double duty Santa & Kris and Maggie, Eileen Deisemann showed promise.
The best part of the entire evening was the sincere enthusiasm and greeting as we arrived by the House Manager Stacy Bechtel.
Unfortunately, this wasn't enough to stem the tide of my disappointment for this evenings "entertainmemt" and meals.
I was actually very dissappointed, frustrated & dismayed leaving the Pines Dinner Theatre.
Rating : one star.
