Amal Cooking Class的点评
点评：What an amazing experience! We took our two boys (7 & 12) to learn about Amal's mission, Moroccan cuisine, and Moroccan culture.
We partook in a cooking class where we were taught how to make a chicken tajine and a vegetarian tajine. While we waited for our food to cook traditionally over a majmar and coals we sat outside on Amal's covered patio where we chatted with the ladies running the class and other cooking participants, while being treated to a traditional tea ceremony and various cookies and sweets.
We sat next to the tajines as they cooked and I must say, the aroma that permeated the entire area was heavenly and we found it nearly impossible to contain our excitement for what was to come.
We moved to the dining area and sat patiently as our tajines were brought and placed in front of us. When the tajines were opened to reveal what we had cooked we were taken aback by the wonderful fragrance of the spices and herbs and the visual appeal of our dishes.
There was silence as everyone ate... it was a transcendental gastronomic experience... our taste buds tickled with pleasure and our souls elevated to a higher place.
During our time in Marrakesh we ate at many restaurants, however most of the food we ate was of no comparison to that which we had at Amal.
If you want a wonderful life-changing experience you have to visit Amal Center.
