A mixed bag: good location but otherwise lackluster
Holiday Inn Express Athens-university Area, An IHG Hotel的点评
点评:First, the good: you can’t beat the location. It is an easy walk to downtown and the UGA campus. (We were there for a tour for my high school junior.)
And, the beds were comfortable.
The bad: you have to pay $10 a day for parking even if you are a guest at the hotel. The man who checked us in was so distracted by his phone that he failed to give us any helpful info like the hours for breakfast or the WiFi info. (Although he did tells us how to get to our room, which was helpful, because the hotel layout is really strange.) We were never able to get the WiFi to work reliably. It kept saying our name and room number didn’t match. Also, the ac wasn’t working in our room. I wanted oatmeal for breakfast. (As a vegan, it’s one of the few things I can eat.). It was inedible because it was so doubly with huge lumps in it. Thankfully the breakfast attendant was so sweet and helpful and brought me some plain oats to cook in the microwave in my room. (She was definitely one of the high points of a lackluster stay.)
Finally, there was a used bandaid caught in the drain in the shower.
