点评:This is such an amazing zoo. Can’t believe it’s free to enter & there’s no pressure for donations, but they are clearly welcome.
Some people find zoo’s controversial , I personally believe in the conservation work they do and have visited and supported many through sponsorship etc over the years.
This was one of, if not the best zoo I’ve ever been to and others could learn a lot from it.
I am amazed - 1 of the highlights of our Washington trip- completely unexpected! It wasn’t on our must do, but I’d researched and thought it would be a nice addition to our family trip - I’d defo recommend this to anyone going to Washington as my research didn’t do it justice.
We spent half a day here, which was adequate but you could spend a whole day easily.
The orangutans and gorillas were stunning and I could’ve sat watching them all day for the rest of my life. I’ve never seen an orangutan in real life so this was amazing.
Building work was going on so several sections were closed off, but there was still plenty to see and do.
Gift shop is lovely - some unusual things- loved the sock selection of animals at the zoo.
Honestly go visit.
