Havana walking tour with Yunior Galvez Perez.

点评：My wife and I visited Havana Cuba for a few days in Feb. 2024. Before we arrived I contacted a company on Facebook called “Simply Cuba Tours” and asked if they could connect me with a tour guide for a day in Havana. A lady named Orsolya answered almost immediately and put me in contact with a man named Yunior via Facebook Messenger.
Yunior and I agreed to meet the day after our arrival for an afternoon walking tour of Centro and Habana Vieja including the Malecon. Yunior was very punctual and met us in our hotel lobby to begin our tour. He is a very cheerful, energetic, and knowledgeable tour guide. As we walked he easily switched between English and Spanish while pointing out interesting places, dates, and people from history. Yunior is also very straightforward and honest about life as a Cuban and helped us try to understand more about the new Cuban Peso currency issues, education, and travel for Cubans inside their own country. We really enjoyed our tour and Yunior even managed to find us Cuban tamales (our favourite) !
After learning that Yunior also leads driving tours to many different locations inside Cuba, which included stays in Casa Particulares, we already know who and what we’ll be doing on our next trip to Cuba. 😀
