点评:Having attended the sadly washed out recent Busk-fest event in Banbridge and feeling in need of a tasty hot beverage I decided to visit the much lauded Blend and Batch, upon entering I was looked up and down by two staff members, one of whom asked me, literally within seconds of entering the establishment, “what do you want”. This level of passive aggressive customer service was a brand new experience for me, one which I must have failed to observe during my latest visit to The Ivy, I can only assume it’s the in vogue and expected service. When I replied that I would love to partake in a coffee, I was informed that there would probably be no available tablets, although to my naked eye multiple tables appeared to be abundantly available. I bit my tongue a little at this stage and told my delightfully pretentious server that I would take my coffee in takeaway form, then whilst making my way to the counter I was yet again looked up and down by another attentive member of staff, but the pinnacle of my experience was upon ordering my coffee I was told to ‘go stand in the corner’ I kid you not. I don’t know if this was said to annoy me, but had the opposite effect of amusing me no end. In essence, if you like your coffee, which was excellent by the way served with extra level of pretentiousness, then this is the place for you.
