点评:I had the good fortune to be told about Ta' Pennellu about 6 years ago. I was asking a friends advice about where I could eat a nice steak on Gozo. My friend (a fellow diving instructor) told me about this restaurant. He told me that the steaks couldn't be beaten. This wasn't strictly true, as having eaten here so many times over the years, I would say that all Tony's food is amazing. He is equally adept at serving amazing sea food. This is a family run business, which shows in their hands on approach and focus on providing super food with excellent customer service. Tony is extremely particular about his steaks (serving Wagu, Argentinian and other renowned countries steaks) which he selects personally. Tomahawks, Ribeyes, Sirloin and Filet Mignons are displayed in his chiller at the entrance to the restaurant. As are his 'rack of ribs and other meats'. A chilled fish counter displays the many fish that he serves.
Tony is ably assisted by his Father (Andy), who together with 'Dora' (Manager), ensure that every customer is looked after. This is always my go to place for a meal in Gozo. There are many great places, but when I can get an amazing 10oz filet steak time after time here, it is difficult to chance elsewhere. It is situated in the centre of the harbour with tables 15 feet from the sea and its views. A great place for every occasion. I last ate here on the 17th September, the night before we left the Island.
I spend at least 70 days a year in Gozo and see this restaurant every day when I am there as my flat is nearby. If I could I would eat here every night.
