点评：We tried to get into Michele’s on a beautiful night in May, but there was a 45-minute wait. We saw Meh on the way back, took a chance, and stopped in. The woman behind the counter brought us two piping hot slices of pizza (by another name, I forget what) for free while we waited. We got two delicious foccaccias with olives (careful of the pits! She did warn us, fortunately I speak Italian), two panzerotti with the smoothest-tasting mozzarella ever, two beers and those initial two slices for 13 euros total. Total! In NY that would be one calzone. Everything was fresh and rich with flavor. The juicy taste and texture of the hot olives on the foccacia especially was a treat. Crust was perfect, and I am fussy about crusts. I don’t know who filed the nasty reviews here or why (Americans expecting Pizza Hut? A competitor? Or maybe it’s changed hands?) but this was one of the best meals of its type I ever had, a wonderful surprise, a good conversation, and an incredible bargain. Bravo, Meh!
