A wonderful self-guided but supported adventure

点评：This was my second Foot Trail, and I loved them both. I went with my husband to the Cotswolds several years ago, and have wanted to do another Foot Trail since then. I returned with a friend to do Dorset in June 2024.
The self- guided tour is perfect for people like me, who are independent and don’t want to spend precious vacation days with people I don’t know. My friend and I loved each day walking through amazing, beautiful countryside and visiting lovely parish churches, graveyards and manors. We really enjoyed the “treasure hunt” aspect of following the directions and the tidbits of history included. The walks were challenging and rewarding. The Cotswolds had been lovely and charming; Dorset was stunning and breathtaking. I can’t emphasize too much how much we enjoyed the beauty and variety of this walk from the coast to the fields to the forests.
The inns were beautiful, quirky, and very comfortable. Each had its own style and personality. The food was delicious ( we had lobster fresh off the boat!) and the staff were welcoming and friendly.
The Foot Trails staff were wonderful. From my first email they responded promptly and personally, answering my questions thoroughly and patiently. The trip itself had clearly been planned meticulously, and everything went perfectly according to plan. While we were able to be independent, we always felt supported. By the end, we were talking about our next trip.
I recommend Foot Trails to anyone wanting this type of adventure. I just loved it.
