Small scale but delightful
现代意大利艺术埃斯特瑞克展览的点评
点评：First visit for us and a very pleasant way to see 20th Century italian art spontaneously.
One stop from King’s cross and an easy walk from Highbury Tube, We had a pleasant italian lunch in the cafe which has outdoor tables in the sunny garden. This is a small, private collection. Each room has something different to offer which may intrigue you - I was delighted by Morandi’s etchings, the etruscan influence on some artists and some lovely sculptures. The bonus was the Concrete Poetry Exhibition - which was eye-opening and delightful examples of wordpress/typography. I would have liked a short video on how some of the poetry was actually printed. Ditto a small etching press on loan like Morandi kept in his bedroom would be illuminating.
The staff we all friendly and took the time to make our visit and enjoyable one. Loved that we didn’t need to pre--book.
Also no crush in the rooms although their are school parties so worth checking.
