Brian’s walking tour of Liverpool

点评：Four of us did the tour with Brian today , my sister and I were both born in Liverpool but we learned so much from Brian about our home city . We are so happy that the tours are coming back and the fact that they are mixing the history and architecture of the city with the art that is on display is a perfect combination .
Brian is so knowledgable about the architects who designed and built our city , and he made us consider questions about Liverpool that we had never thought of before . You can tell he is from Liverpool and that made the tour even more special .
He brought us photographs of the way the city used to look in the past to compare them side by side with how the buildings look now which was a wonderful perspective .
We forget what an important city Liverpool always was in global trade , shipping , commerce and banking and Brian reminded us of those facts and how the designs on buildings reflected the purpose of the business that was conducted in each one , and also the variations of the dates the buildings were built .
I would sincerely recommend that all Scousers and visitors take these tours and learn as much as we did about the best city in the world
