点评：We driven past a few times and like the look of the place, this time we finally stopped. We were glad we had.
It’s a small hotel with a nice restaurant and bar.
We had booked the restaurant but decided to eat in the bar, there was a lovely open fire, throwing off a nice bit of extra winter warmth.
The staff were very friendly and helpful.
The food was excellent. We had the 3 course lunch for £26 pp. which was good value. I had the salmon starter, with a beef/steak main and a bread and butter pudding for dessert. My wife had the pear starter, chicken and apple tart for dessert. All were well presented, tasted great and were excellent value.
The atmosphere in the bar was nice and relaxed and cosy.
A great place to stop for lunch or a stop over, rooms were only £90 in the week!
Definitely worth a visit.
My only moan was my hot dessert was served in a very cold dish, so I was racing to eat it before the dish cooled too much. As it happens it was nice enough to rush it down, but a warmer dish would have been perfect.
It didn’t spoil anything and we will definitely stop again.
