Sandringham Cafe的点评
点评：The House was lovely, although overpriced to see only 4 or 5 rooms. The room guides were lovely too - very informative and friendly. The gardens too were great.
But the visit was spoiled by an underwhelming catering experience. First of all, the Stables cafe was not serving until half an hour after the gates opened. “Please come back in 15 minutes - we are not ready yet”.
Then, the restaurant turned us away for lunch at 12 noon, saying “we are at capacity and are not allowing anyone else in, try again in an hour”. This was despite only half the tables being occupied. We then asked to make a reservation for later and were told “we don’t take reservations, just try again in an hour”.
I understand that they want to avoid long waits after customers are seated but this feels like it needs some serious leadership improvement so that they can operate at full capacity.
I now realise that I should have read the reviews for Sandringham Restaurant elsewhere on Trip Advisor and then I would have known what to expect. What worries me is that the management are not reading the reviews either.
