点评:This is our favourite restaurant in this part of Cork, as seafood lovers it never fails to deliver, we have been coming here for over 7 years on a regular basis, we would not come to Cork and not come here.
Like most restaurants prices have gone up, but the way we judge is it value for the food and service you receive. You can go to places and the food is a feed! But that normally denotes quantity over quality not always but often, and you will pay a fair bit for a 2 course meal if that's your bag then this is not for you.
Here you will pay more but you will get the quality you are paying for, great ambience, very pleasant service, and great craic,with your host Donnacha, and seafood prepared with love and care by his brother.
We have eaten in so many restaurants from Michelin stars to Curry restaurants in Ireland and abroad,and very many in Cork , but other than 1 restaurant in Kinsale that maintains a very high standard of seafood cooking and it's not fishy fishy ,here is a absolute must.
Lads everything is expensive, oil, heating , food , etc ,the name of the game for us is to be happy to spend your money on quality ,we dont do it often so it's a nice treat. By the way we had Monk fish scampi in a local cider batter that melted in your mouth. Followed by the special of Hake , not a small fillet, all served with delicious veg ,potatoes, and chips, and shared cheese board to finish. We did give the G&T ,wine and Irish coffees a bash too but what a lovely meal and night. We will be back in March 24 prices might have gone up we cant say? But the standards we are sure will still be as high. Fab.
