点评：This ski resort is not comparable to what you would find in the modern resorts in Europe or America, but it is worth a visit anyway. It is a pain to get there given how remote the location is, a Yandex taxi might cost you about 1000 som to get there but I recommend getting a package either with Gegert transfers or Mounterra sports (just look them up online) - both companies offer some form of package (transport from their shop in Bishkek + ski hire and possibly with ski pass as well - check with them for details). There are 5 lifts on Chunkurchak but only 2 were open when I was there because it was a weekday and I was told they only justify opening more lifts on the weekend when there are more people. That was a disappointment - look, I'm from Europe where everyone is whinging about climate change and there not being enough snow as it is too hot for snow to accumulate but in central Asia, when I was there, we had -25 and snowdrifts taller than buildings, like there's so much snow it is insane. But it is the lack of facilities that get me in central Asia, there are so few lifts in the resort, the lifts are all second hand from French resorts (I even saw the words Les Menuires on one of the lifts, I also saw some advertising in German on some of the machines) and the toilets are horrific (literally a hole in the ground). But still, what made up for it were the awesome views and the fresh powder that made going off piste such a joy. Such is Kyrgyzstan for you. Now this is just advice from the ski shop, Chunkurchak is considered newer and has better facilities but the slopes are gentler than Kashka-Suu so you may want to consider going to Kashka-Suu if you're gonna be bored with gentler slopes at Chunkurchak. I went to Chunkurchak with Mounterra and I recommend doing the same thing as they provided an excellent service - two of their staff Miriam and Batir speak excellent English as well.
