Ethiopian Trekking Vacations & Tours They will never receive my recommendation because of their terrible service. We went on a tour with them in our group, and our guides were terrible. They also charged us $5,000 for their awful services, which is not acceptable at all. Regretfully, I should not have booked them; it was the worst experience of my life, and I made a foolish decision.

My husband and I did a 5 day hike in the Simien Mountains. Everything was amazing! Dezy organized the trip and all we had to do was hike, take photos and enjoy the beauty and nature surrounding us. The hiking was strenuous and you must take the altitude seriously...acclimate for a day or two in Gondar before beginning the hike. The camping was quite comfortable and we arrived at our campsites and the tents, sleeping bags, and our bags were already there. We sat down and had tea/coffee and a snack before the most wonderful dinners. The guide explained things perfectly and pointed out some animals we would not have noticed. Most importantly, Dezy is from one of the villages in Simien Mountain National Park, so you are sharing with the communities you encounter. Most highly recommended!

This is probably the fifth time I've arranged a trip with Dezy for myself or for friends. He's a great guy and born and raised in Debark. He has a brilliant network of people who work for him on the trips. For example, our chef team, Endalk and Mola, was amazing. We even had an eleven-component meal - madness! The tents are great, and sleeping gear also. The Simiens are so beautiful and I would never do a camping or hiking tour with anyone but Dezy behind it. Regarding cost: Dezy calculates all inclusive prices. It's worth remembering that the fixed costs on trips in the Simiens National Park are (rightly) relatively high - e.g. your guide, your entrance fee, your scout are all charged at fixed prices regulated by the local authority. I remember when I first travelled with Dezy in 2017, I didn't realise this and thought he might be quite expensive. He's not; and moreover having the costs included makes life so much easier.

Great experience. Dezy is the ultimate professional. He went above and beyond, as my plans, hotel and airplane reservations changed. Excellent value-for-money. Great 3 day trek, terrific top-notch food, ginger tea and even Ethiopian wine? Highly recommend Dezy and his tour. Loved the Fasil castle and Trinity church visit too. A memorable trip to Gondar and the Simien Mountains National Park. Book here and you will be very, very happy.

It was a wonderful experience to travel with Dezy and his team to Ethopia. We travelled during covid times and they really looked out for us. Trekking the Simian Mountains for 6 days was hard but the support from the trackers and the excellent food was amazing. Would never have made it without Sali. Lallibelo was a spiritual experience. I can recommend them 100%.
