We were here for a Life Celebration service. What a place to choose. The outlook onto the beach, sun glancing off Brisbane Waters. But the real star was the food! Canapés to die for!!! Scallops on the shell in garlic butter; stuffed mushrooms; Serrano ham with vegetables; chicken skewers; smoked salmon on rye bread ……. I could go on. And all that before the main meal - steak cooked to perfection. What a place. And the service was outstanding. Go please. You will not be disappointed.

Traveled from Queensland for my nephews 50th birthday at the Box. Very disappointed, very expensive for the quality of the meal for the price. We had a seafood platter for 2 at Pippies on the point on Tuesday just gone , it cost us $49, we had 6 natural oysters, 6 large king prawns, 4 scalloped done in garlic butter, 1x large bug split in half, a big portion of beautiful salmon 3x dipping sauces served with a lovely salad & chips, there was more then enough for 2 people. Sorry guys for the bad review but I’m am also an owner of a 5 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ rated cafe in Queensland. Table service could have been better. And might I say, customers should not have to ask for plates to be removed, as for charging $3.50ea per plate to have a piece of birthday cake that my sister bought is extremely rude. If you guys would have put cream or ice cream on the plate to have with cake was supplied I could understand the cost for charging as much as you do. The Sparklers were a nice touch , but not enough to cover the excessive charge. Come on guys. Extremely disappointed ☹️😡 beautiful outlook though.

I recently took a Colleague from my business to The Box on the Water Restaurant for a delicious seafood lunch. The experience left a positive impression on us both. Sarah, our waitress provided a hospitable and friendly attitude, making our visit enjoyable. Sarah welcomed us warmly and created a comfortable atmosphere. She was friendly and professional and was very polite. We experienced a culinary selection that included fresh salmon, barramundi, prawns and mussels. All meals were well-presented with professionalism. The Chief is obviously proud to work in this restaurant’s busy kitchen. The Box on the Water is recommended for its modern ambience and atmosphere and I am really looking forward to my next visit with more work colleagues.

So this was for my 60th birthday. We had a table of 18. My sister had booked way in advance and asked for a certain table. Everyone except my partner and I live there. My beef cheeks came out cold and the sauce was separating. One of the waitressed served me a margherita in a whiskey glass! Piss poor response from the staff on the day. We spent over $1600 for the lunch. I emailed the owner who mentioned that she would do more training with the inexperienced waitress and speak with the chef. I was after a free lunch for my sister and partner as she was so disappointed with the whole thing. this was ignored and no one will ever set foot in there again and all the local folk that were there tell everyone how disappointed we all were.

I met friends from Sydney (halfway between Sydney and Newcastle) for lunch at The Box on the Water Ettalong Beach and we had an amazing meal in a warm and very welcoming atmosphere. All the staff were welcoming and the service was impressive. The food was melted in your mouth amazing. We spent 4 hours eating and catching up and never felt rushed or needed to leave once we had finished our meal. Thank you to all the wonderful staff at The Box on the Water. We will be back.

We had the grazing feast. It was a fantastic meal lovely. It was lovely a great combination of flavours and succulent. Maybe two oysters or three would be a good idea. !!

We had a wonderful dining experience. We loved everything about the night. Coeliac friendly entree main and desert. Grilled octopus and Pakora were a delicious way to kick the night off followed with steamed black mussels and Cioppino we only had to swap the focaccia out. Affogato for an after dinner treat. Looking forward to visiting again soon.
