Popped in for a cup of tea and ordered a bacon sandwich to go with it. The food arrived quickly ) and was lovely) but no tea - was told it would follow. After I had finished eating I asked a waitress why my tea had still not arrived -( it had been over 20 minutes) was told I just needed to wait. Waited for a total of 45 mins - eventually left to get tea elsewhere.

Opened up an m&s credit card so I had some coffee vouchers to spend,only to find it’s McDonald style ordering now and you can’t scan your free drinks code on touch screen pad. No cash any also,so I won’t be coming again I’ll go to John Lewis or Costa in the future. Not a good look for m&s.☹️

I think the new order system worked fine, it’s easy and a member of staff is there to help and to hand out wipes to sanitise. The food came fast, it was hot and really good value for money. Would defo return for breakfast very tasty

20 minutes for a cup of tea. Ordering system is chaotic. Stressed staff made for quite an unpleasant visit. Best avoided.

Just visited the cafe for the first time since reopening (had been going every Saturday for years). What a shambles. The automated system does not allow for anything not standard. For example having a pot of tea with the tea bag separate. So you have to go to the preparation counter to ask someone, they were not helpful but eventually found someone who helped. Everyone is using the touch screen so very very unhygienic. The coffee was barely warm when delivered. The toast was just warm bread not toast. Will not be using it again. Instead of progress they have achieved regress.

Visiting this store for a coffee with my Mum upon arrival I was told I had to Use the touchscreen to order my coffee which I didn’t want to do,I have OCD and had to say to a member of staff in front of other customers why I wouldn’t use it she said she could wipe the screen and continued to Wipe all 4 screens with the same cloth totally pointless, why is there no sanitiser in sight ? just germ spreading .. can’t pay cash! You can’t use the screen if your a wheelchair user , I could go on …what a disgrace needs attention before you loose customers if it’s not too late

The new cafe at Cribbs is simply awful! just like going into a fast food place. Ridiculous unhygienic ordering screens, the cafe has lost all its atmosphere and warmth we have come to love from M&S cafes. We certainly won’t be bothering again and we use to be regular visitors. Please don’t make this mistake and change any other cafes into one of these!

Even septuagenarian customers know how a touch screen ordering system works. It’s a shame Marks & Spencer don’t understand their side of the arrangement. No understanding at all that delivering a complete order to a customer on time first time is the expectation as a customer. Bizarrely, delivering our sandwich to our table was the responsibility of one server while delivering our tea and the packet of crisps came under the responsibility of another team somewhere. What nobody had responsibility for was making sure we actually got served. Your McDonalds copycat system doesn’t sit with a poorly trained disparate bunch of staff. And as for the freeloaders sipping FOC water while they take up seats and do their homework online, get a grip.

What a terrible new cafe ordering system-if we wanted this "touch-screen" unhygienic, impersonal, slow, irritating, queue forming "system" we would go to BurgerKing! There are plenty of other eating (and shopping!) options at Cribbs-we haven't been back, and won't be going back either...Remember your customer demographic M&S..
