Dropped in here for fabulous Scottish breakfast last Saturday. On the way home from a few days walking in Ardnamurchan. Beautifully presented, tasty and good value. Menu to suit all tastes. Available 1000 - 1200 Tuesday to Sunday. Lovely relaxed and welcoming ambience. Worth a stop.

Far more to the place than just the mushroom soup and the mushroom ravioli in cream sauce but that’s what I had over two stop-off/snack visits during a west coast weekend with family. Lovely interiors, particularly the add-on front dining area, beautiful timber, attentive service and the perfect culinary gateway into Ardnamurchan and Moidart when approaching from Corran.

Last minute stay at the Salen Hotel. I arrived very late at night. The hosts where very welcoming and kind, room was very comfy. Great options for breakfast and again a special mention to the lovely host.

Just stopped for a beer but it’s a lovely pub. Open every lunchtime. I didn’t ask about evenings. A pint of Pedigree in the sun. I mainly did a review so people know it has reopened for 2023. We usually stop here a few times when on holiday here cycling

We were very happy with our stay. The room was good size and offered a wonderful view of the water. The bathroom was up to date and offered both a tub and a shower. This B&B had a restaurant and a bar. We ate one dinner which was very good. The daily breakfast was very good as well. The owners were quite friendly and helpful. I can recommend this establishment to future travelers.

Cannot recommend highly enough the delicious food ,seafood platter,scampi and mouth watering puddings. The very hard working young man that served us done so with a smile the whole time we were in and nothing at all was of any bother we didn't catch his name but what an asset to the hotel.

We’re staying in Strontian for a few nights. Today we drove out to Kilcohan. On the way home we stopped at Salen Hotel for a bite to eat. We’re glad we did! Fantastic Sunart prawns, lovely salad and potatoes followed by sticky toffee pudding for one, ice cream for the other and coffee. Had a glass each of the Chenin Blanc. Family/owners very friendly but not intrusive. Highly recommended. I’d go there regularly but it’s a long way from Ireland. Unfortunately. Thanks to everyone for a hugely enjoyable couple of hours

We visited at 3:00 pm on a Monday and much to our very pleasant surprise were offered a full menu choice at very reasonable prices. We sampled the sharing fish platter which we can highly recommend, good choice of fish presented beautifully and sooo tasty. The dessert menu had a wide choice and E shared a very tasty cheesecake- superb. Will definitely be returning.
