Nightmare at the Henry Boddington

Went with 7 friends, all got served different times some were eating whilst other were waiting. There was a misunderstanding about a meal ,the manager was competent, she would not listen to the complaint professionally, I ordered prawns got none was the reply ! I ordered apple pie got none !ordered waffles got none I asked what have you got but they couldn't give a toss ,whilst I got a curry it was luke warm (not hot ) . The manager was pointing at me and I did it to her she went ballistic . She's not a good manager at all she gave 1 lady her money back ,but when my friend said you have taken over £100 ,and we won't be back she as good as asked us to leave .I have NEVER been treated so aporlingly in a restaurant. Don't go here once they take your order and you have payed they really don't care !!!

Great pub

Awesome place with welcoming staff, had drinks, food and a great time. All was served in great time and nothing was too much trouble

Visited with friend. Main meal was nice. Dessert if you like stick toffee pudding don’t buy this

Visited with Friend. Manager friendly and helpful. Main meal was nice my sausages were freshly made. Peas over microwaved. Mash ok. If you like sticky toffee pudding then this is not for you . Tasted like ginger cake drizzled with caramel sauce. Accompanied by ice cream - custard 99 pence extra if you didn’t want ice cream Would return but would not buy a dessert.

dinner time

Me and a couple of my friends came in for food as we got there we seen it was busy but they was so kind letting us sit down. The staff were so accommodating and friendly couldn’t find a fault. Will definitely be coming back 10/10

Family meal

Lovely dining experience

Everywhere is looking lovely after the recent refurbishment. The bar area was beautifully decorated for Christmas with a stunning tree and the atmosphere was very festive. We had booked a table and were quickly seated. The menu is extensive with food for all tastes. We ordered at the bar, the staff member was lovely and our meals arrived in good time. Food was hot and freshly cooked. We enjoyed a pleasant afternoon here with good, value for money food and drinks and polite, friendly service. The impression is that they really care about how they are looking after their customers and staff were going the extra mile at a busy time, working hard with a smile. Thank you to everybody for your good service.

Good lunchtime visit

Henry’s has recently reopened after renovations so this was our first visit for a while and I was pleasantly surprised. The bar area has much more space than before and comfy seating. We went for lunch and our food arrived in a reasonable time. We all had different meals and they were all hot and nicely served. There was a good choice of desserts and we would all recommend the crushed mince pie sundae from the Christmas menu, it was excellent! The young woman behind the bar was friendly and we had a bit of banter as we were ordering and the manager who brought our meals to the table was also friendly and pleasant. The food was reasonably priced and I would happily pay them another visit soon. Definitely would recommend them for a nice lunchtime visit.

Drink

Always come in for drinks and i’ve never had a problem with anything. The staff behind the bar are always lovely and welcoming couldnt think of a better place to go and have a nice drink

I ordered the rib platter which cost 18.29 it says on the menu it’s comes with 2 ribs and it only come with one The ribs where chewy the mac and cheese was just pasta with cheese melted on top of it The Dinning room has all little midgey flies flying around I won’t be coming back here
