Pretty easy to board. We provided the attendant our confirmation number and were told which line to pull our car into. The site says to arrive 1 hour and 15 minute in advance but 45 min would be fine as vehicles were still arriving.
Loading and unloading went quickly.
An outdated ship that could use a little bit of a refurb and paint job, having said that, all facilities were clean and working, comfy seating around the ship with video lounge and quiet areas along with outdoor seating / standing areas, there was a lot to choose from. All staff both at the port and on the ship were very friendly and helpful with any queries. Food and drink were very well priced too with brilliant portions, definitely no complaints and we had a good laugh with the ladies serving.
My partner and I took the ferry a few weeks ago from Digby, Nova Scotia to Saint John, New Brunswick. Just over 2 hours compared to a six hour drive. We arrived an hour before embarkment and the onboarding was easy. On the ferry we could relax and enjoy a meal, then we settled into the TV lounge and watched the animated version of the Addams family, talk about chilling and feeling good at the beginning of our long weekend away. No praise can be too high for the consistence of the great customer service from every staff member that we encountered, they genuinely wanted to welcome us and make sure we were well looked after, great training, the best part was on our return 3 days later we had the same experience. A great way to travel and so easy. We highly recommend taking the ferry to Saint John or Digby.
This is a great way to travel from Nova Scotia to New Brunswick. The ship is large and offers plenty of different seating areas. There's a TV room and several places to purchase food.
We took the ferry from NS to NB. We arrived exactly at the scheduled time. If your running late don’t worry they were letting people get in line right up to when they started boarding the ship. They give a “strict” time to arrive so everyone will hopefully not arrive at the last minute.
Once on the ship there are plenty of seats located in different areas of the ship.
Food is also available for purchase midship from a stand.
On our voyage they had someone playing the violin for entertainment. It was very nice, but i was having flashbacks to the Titanic :-0.
The crew was wonderful and made the trip very pleasant.
This was a fun trip. The ferry was clean, efficient, organized, and fun to experience. The ride is just long enough to have fun but not be bored. Going to St. John and taking the Rose to Digby was perfect.
First time on the Ferry, glad we did it as it saved us over a full day of travel from the states to Nova Scotia. We were pleasantly surprised by the flow of boarding and off boarding with a car and the comfort of the travel across the bay.
Nice ship. Comfortable. Decent food.
Found that some areas are more comfortable than others. Would of liked more info. Maybe a map of where & what was offered. Saw a guy smoking on the back. Looked like he was on drugs. No staff make the rounds for anything.
