Highly recommend trying the ceviche and fried fish dishes. We ate every bite! Staff were very friendly and kind…we forgot our credit card on the table and they chased us down the street to return it. One of the best experiences in Manzanillo!
I had heard about this venue before arriving in Manzanillo and couldn't wait to try it out. Mariscos Dona Concha has more than one location under the same name within the same town. All owners fall under the same family tree, but each place is independently owned. This one had the best review and with reason. As you went inside, you couldn't have found a cleaner establishment and decorated with bright colors, all in good taste. The place was airy and opened to the street providing the perfect setting as being close to the ocean. We met Dona Concha's granddaughter and son-in-law, who were a delight to talk to. She made sure all dishes were presented with a formal layout with a touch of simplicity at the same time without forgetting her heritage. They were all delicious and plentiful. Would return in a heartbeat!
We found this place by asking a local for a good restaurant. The fish and shrimp tacos were fantastic. The seafood stuffed fish fillet was so good, like nothing I’ve ever had. Service was fast and friendly and the prices were good. Definitely coming back next time we’re in Manzanillo.
We were told about this place by a fellow Canadian. Try the ceviche! she told us. She was right, the shrimp ceviche was excellent. I had the octopus tostado (awesome) and my wife had the fish taco (very good). They make their own tostados and the salsa had a real kick.
The place is super clean even the baños. Our waitress was superb. Very attentive and the food came very quick. She also took the time to explain things (her English was excellent).
The prices are reasonable and they expanded to the other side so it’s very roomy. They don’t have a view but the artwork, memorabilia and photos held our attention.
In short a great lunch.
